Hosting Your Website

You can host your website with us or use another hosting provider.

If you have your own domain and webspace, e.g. www.mylovelydomain.com, we can point it at your own webspace or one of our great value hosting packages.

How it works:

A domain can be hosted with us or a different service provider.

A recurring registration fee is normally payable to the company hosting your domain.

A domain is the name that you type into your browser to enable your website to be viewed.

Your website is a collection of files which are stored on a computer called a server which "Hosts" your website.

When someone types in www.mylovelydomain.com the browser visits the server that hosts the mylovelydomain website and displays the home page which is linked to all the other pages on the mylovelydomain website. The home page is normally named index.html, index.htm, index,php or some other file extension.

Without boring you with techno babble, we can provide domain hosting or webspace or both. or you can host your domain elsewhere and use our webspace to host your site.

What it costs:
 

If we designed your website, and you choose to host with us, we will set up all your mailboxes and install any scripts you require.  We also include any text updates such as new phone numbers, change of address etc in the Gold and Silver plans.

Redesign of website template layout or function, if required, is charged separately at our current design rates.

You will be provided with an annual statement of payments made for your accounts.

There is no minimum contract period for monthly payments but please give us a month's notice out of courtesy and to enable any transfer processes which may be necessary.

Cheque Payments: You can make annual cheque payments if you wish. Cheque payments are calculated at 12 times the monthly subscription plus 10% handling surcharge. Payments must be received in advance of the renewal date. If you wish to use this antiquated payment method, please click here

If you host your domain name with another internet service provider, you will be responsible for any fees they may charge for this service which will be payable directly to them.
